Alex Dagg

Alex Dagg, CPA, has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Most recently, Dagg served as the Director of Finance at Zipline, starting in October 2022. Prior to that, Dagg held the position of Director of Operations at Smart City Media from January 2017 to October 2022.

Before entering the tech industry, Dagg worked as a Staff Accountant at Crowe MacKay LLP, where they led financial statement audit and review engagements for private and non-profit companies, prepared audit and tax statements, and filed tax returns. Dagg worked at Crowe MacKay LLP from September 2015 to January 2017.

Dagg also gained experience as an Accounting & Administration Lead at Vandrico Solutions Inc. from June 2014 to September 2015. Additionally, they worked at Bench Accounting, first as a Recruiter from January 2014 to April 2015, and then as an Accounting Associate from April 2014 to January 2015. As a Recruiter, Dagg was responsible for candidate screening, interviewing, and implementing HR management systems. As an Accounting Associate, they managed and trained a team of bookkeepers, developed new workflow processes, and provided financial statements and bookkeeping services to small businesses.

Prior to engaging in accounting and finance roles, Dagg worked as a Marketing Analyst at Market Logic Software from August 2013 to November 2013, gaining international work experience with a start-up marketing software firm. They also served as a Commodity Trader Assistant at Cliveden Trading AG from September 2012 to February 2013.

Dagg's early work experience includes serving as a Parts & Service Advisor at Volvo of North Vancouver from August 2009 to September 2012, where they scheduled and organized mechanics' workflow, managed inventory shipments, and handled over-the-counter sales.

Alex Dagg, CPA, began their education journey in 2011 at Capilano University, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance in 2015. In 2013, they had a semester abroad at SRH Hochschule Berlin, studying Renewable Energies and Business. From 2015 to 2017, Alex pursued the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) program to become a CPA Designation Candidate, specializing in Accounting.
