Since becoming one of Rethink Food’s first food donors in 2017, Daniel Humm’s Eleven Madison Park has been committed to the nonprofit’s mission, and actively rethinking the restaurant model to reduce food insecurity.
After closing to the public in March 2020 and transforming into a commissary kitchen for Rethink in response to the pandemic, it served as a founding restaurant partner in the Rethink Certified program.
Later that year, Daniel Humm launched Eleven Madison Home, donating 10 meals to New Yorkers in need for every purchase of its meal kits.
In 2021, Chef Humm launched the Eleven Madison Truck, which serves up to 2,000 nutritious meals weekly to Rethink Food community partners in various New York neighborhoods, including food-insecure districts in the Bronx and Brooklyn. Following its recent reopening, Eleven Madison Park has created a circular ecosystem where every dinner purchased allows Eleven Madison Park to provide five meals to food-insecure New Yorkers, delivered by Eleven Madison Truck.
