Marie-Lyse Numuhoza MBE is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in mental health, community organizing, and social policy. Currently, Marie-Lyse serves at Rethink Mental Illness, contributing to the mental health transformation agenda within Norfolk & Waveney Integrated Care Board, and co-chairs the PCIEP coordinating group at NIHR Applied Research Collaboration East Midlands. Marie-Lyse has been actively involved with the University of East Anglia as an expert by experience in migrant health and on the Diversity and Inclusion working group since 2016. Additionally, Marie-Lyse is a Lay Canon at Norwich Cathedral, a Steering Committee Member at City of Sanctuary UK, and serves as the Social Policy Lead on the Board of Trustees for the Mothers' Union. Previous roles include senior community connector at The Shoebox Enterprises CIC and various positions within Future Projects, as well as serving on the Board of Trustees at Healthwatch Norfolk. Marie-Lyse holds a BA in African and Development Studies from SOAS University of London and has completed education in public speaking.
