Vasant Kearney

Vasant Kearney is the current Chief Technology Officer at Retrace. Prior to this, Kearney served as the CTO of Soteria Intelligence, a social media artificial intelligence company, from April 2016 to December 2019. Kearney has also held the positions of CTO at Nimble Therapy, LLC and Medical Physics Research Associate at UT Southwestern. Kearney obtained their P.hD. in Biomedical Engineering from University of California, San Diego in 2012 and their Graduate Research Assistant from University of California, San Francisco in 2010. Kearney also worked as a Physics Research Assistant at Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Lightsource from 2007-2009.

Vasant Kearney's educational career began with a bachelor's degree in physics from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Vasant then went on to earn a master's degree in medical physics from UC San Diego. Finally, they earned a doctor of philosophy (Ph.D.) in biomedical engineering and medical imaging from UT Southwestern Medical Center.

They are on a team with Gregg Ringold - Director, Hamid Hekmatian - Senior Deep Learning Engineer, and Kevin Yang - Product Director. Their manager is Ali Sadat, Founder and CEO.
