Bill Kalenian

VP, Engineering at Revasum

Bill Kalenian is the VP of Engineering at Revasum. Bill has over 20 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, having worked their way up from Lead Engineer to VP Engineering at their previous company, Strasbaugh. At Revasum, Bill leads the development of key technologies used in the manufacture of wide bandgap semiconductor materials, and for processes used to make Power, CMOS, MEMS, and GMR head devices. Bill has been with Revasum for 5 years and 7 months.

Prior to joining Revasum, Bill spent 14 years at Strasbaugh where they held various positions including Engineering Manager, R&D Lead Engineer & Manager, and Application Engineer. In their role as Engineering Manager, Bill provided leadership to Strasbaugh’s mechanical, electrical, and software engineers. Bill also managed large semiconductor equipment development projects and related schedules, budgets, and suppliers. As Lead Engineer & Manager, Bill developed tooling used in the manufacture of semiconductor devices and led a small team of R&D engineers to develop new technologies for chemical mechanical polishing applications. In their role as Application Engineer, Bill developed CMP processes for customers in the United States, Asia, and Europe. Bill also provided support to customers onsite in their fabs and locally at company headquarters.

Throughout their career, Bill has demonstrated their dedication to developing new technologies and processes that improve the efficiency and quality of semiconductor manufacturing. Their experience and expertise have made him a valuable asset to Revasum, where they continue to contribute to the advancement of the semiconductor industry.

Bill Kalenian received their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo in 1995.
