Leif Bennett

Leif Bennett has extensive experience as a Senior Software Engineer, having worked in multiple companies and positions throughout their career. Leif most recently worked at Revenue.io as a Senior Software Engineer since 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Telescope Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer from 2017 to 2020. In this role, Leif was responsible for designing and implementing high-availability large data applications using Java, Scala, Apache Spark, AWS, Play Framework, JUnit, Mockito, SBT, and Gradle.

Before Telescope Inc., Leif worked at Google from 2016 to 2017 as a Senior Software Engineer in Ads Human Evaluation. In this role, they wrote software and supported systems to gather and analyze human ratings of ads, contributing to improvements in Google's algorithmic ad evaluation. Leif primarily worked with Java on big data pipelines in Google's distributed computing environment.

Leif also worked at Convertro from 2014 to 2016, where they served as a Principal Programmer. Leif utilized technologies such as Grails, Django, Groovy, Java, Python, AWS, Hadoop, JUnit, and Mockito.

Prior to Convertro, Leif worked at CounterTack Inc. from 2013 to 2014 as a Senior Software Engineer. Leif built and extended a RESTful API server for security monitoring information, working with technologies such as Java, Python, Hadoop, HBase, Dropwizard, Jersey, Jackson, Impala, Solr, JUnit, and Mockito.

In addition to their roles as a software engineer, Leif also held other positions earlier in their career. These include working at Chrome River Technologies as a Software Developer from 2010 to 2013, at Metaswarm Inc. as the VP of Software Development and Co-Founder from 2005 to 2010, at Symantec as a Principal Software Engineer from 2004 to 2005, at planetLingo as the Director of Technology from 1998 to 2001, and at Worlds Inc. as a Developer/Integrator from 1995 to 1997.
