Rob Smith has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and companies. Rob started their career in 1993 as a System Administrator in the US Army, where they managed a LAN and developed C programs. Rob then worked as a Technical Consultant at Ajilon - GTE Telephone Operations, where they served as a Windows administrator. At GTE Internetworking, Rob worked as a Senior Advisory Systems Engineer, designing and implementing COM objects for account management and authentication.
Moving on, Rob joined Dell Technologies as a Software Developer, where they led the development of enterprise business intelligence web services and redesigned the Photon web service middleware. Rob later worked at Kershner Trading Group as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on building backend components for a new trading platform.
Rob then became a Senior Software Engineer at Dell Inc, working on the Content Management System team and supporting the "eDell initiative" to revamp the dell.com website. Finally, they joined Revionics as a Principal Engineer, leading the development of the base pricing and common portions of the Lifecycle Price Optimization Portal.
Throughout their career, Rob has honed their skills in full stack development, C#/ASP.NET, and .NET framework.
Rob Smith attended Frederick Community College from 1994 to 1996 and earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Computer Science.
