About You:

The Director of Operations will oversee all operational activities related to lending processing, servicing, and collections. The role involves ensuring that lending processes are efficient, customer-centric, and compliant with regulatory standards. The Director of Operations works closely with executive leadership to optimize business performance and operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

Operational Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance the efficiency of the data entry collections, and client relations teams.
  • Streamline lending operations to ensure smooth workflows, reduce costs, and minimize processing times.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team, including head office employees, as well as performance of outsourcing team.
  • Foster a collaborative and customer-focused environment.

Business unit Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Establish and track KPIs related to DOS, customer satisfaction, and portfolio performance.
  • Prepare reports for senior management on operational performance and key strategic initiatives

Customer Service Excellence:

  • Ensure a customer-centric approach across all funding operations, focusing on improving the borrower experience.
  • Implement systems for timely response to customer inquiries and complaints related to funding


Vendor and Technology Management:

  • Manage relationships with third-party service providers (outsource company)
  • Collaborate with IT on platforms that support our operations team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Client Relations, or another business-related field, is preferred
  • 10+ years of leading experience/portfolio management
  • Extensive knowledge in B2B underwriting
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Familiarity with business financials and specifically Accounts Receivables knowledge
  • Excellent negotiating skills, written and oral communication skills.
  • A customer-oriented attitude
  • Team building, collaboration abilities, and strong problem-solving skills to help clients overcome any obstacles; developing solutions that enhance the clients' efficiency 

Must have: 

  • Strong understanding of credit and risk management in the lending industry.
  • Expertise in process improvement and operations management.
  • Excellent leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills.
