Accounting Clerk

rEvolution is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our growing sports marketing agency. In this role, reporting to the Sr Manager, Finance (dotted line to Staff Accountant), you will be responsible for ensuring timely billing, managing accounts payable and supporting ad hoc projects as it relates to the Finance Department.

You Will:

• Support AR / AP and all related activities.
• Create, maintain, and distribute invoices to clients.
• Pull backup data for invoices and perform client invoice reconciliations.
• Support collections effort and address client inquiries as needed.
• Perform time and expense transfers.
• Provide weekly AR status updates to executive leadership.
• Perform month-end closing tasks including balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations.
• Maintain general ledger integrity by reconciling various accounts, verifying, and correcting data.
• Process bills, journal entries, bank, expense report, and credit card transactions for review.
• Prepare internal reports including aging, fixed assets, intercompany account transaction matching, and various ad hoc financial reports as requested.
• Update and maintain procedural documentation.
• Ensure completion of special projects & administrative duties as they are assigned by management.

You Have:

• 0-1+ years of relevant experience working in an accounting-focused role.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

• Strong proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Must have the highest degree of accuracy with a strong attention to detail.

• Strong business acumen and understanding of financial and accounting concepts/policies.

This hybrid role is based in our fabulous Chicago office, but has a global reach
