Saddam Husain

Saddam Husain has worked as a Software Engineer at Rey.id since August 2022. In this role, they successfully migrated Rey's legacy JavaScript codebase to a modern TypeScript-based service, implemented microservices and clean architecture principles, and significantly increased unit test coverage. Prior to that, Saddam worked as a Backend Engineer Intern at Rey.id from May 2022 to August 2022. During this internship, they migrated the codebase, optimized performance and scalability, and improved code maintainability. Before joining Rey.id, Saddam was a Backend Engineer as part of the Generasi Gigih 2022 program at Yayasan Anak Bangsa Bisa. In this role, they gained a deep understanding of OOP, web development, API design, and database management, learned best practices for clean code implementation, and developed various soft skills.

Saddam Husain completed their high school education from SMK Negeri 4 Jakarta, specializing in Automotive Engineering, from 2018 to 2021. Subsequently, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science through online learning at BINUS UNIVERSITY from 2022 to 2026. In addition to their formal education, Saddam also obtained several certifications in programming-related courses, including Git, HTML & CSS, Ruby, and SQL, from Progate in March 2022.
