Garrison Spik has extensive work experience in communications, content writing, and editing. They have held various roles in different companies throughout their career.

Garrison started working at K&L Inc. in 1998 as the Head Copywriter and remained in that position until 2003. Afterwards, they joined D9, Inc. as a Copywriter and Creative Consultant, where they worked until 2013.

In 2004, Garrison joined The Magazine Group as a Writer/Editor and stayed until 2006 when they transitioned to Mervis Diamond Importers as the Director of Communications. At Mervis Diamond Importers, they were responsible for managing communications, advertising, and branding campaigns, as well as handling crisis communications.

From 2009 to 2013, Garrison worked at Chemonics International as the Director of Design and Production and as a Writer/Editor.

In 2014, Garrison began working as an independent consultant, specializing in writing, editing, and communications. They worked on projects involving technical reports, proposals, marketing materials, and more.

In 2019, Garrison joined rfxcel as a Senior Communications Specialist and later became a Senior Communications and Content Manager. In this role, they wrote and edited marketing, communications, and branding collateral for various industries.

Throughout their career, Garrison has consistently demonstrated their skills in writing, editing, and communication.

Garrison Spik pursued their education in a chronological order. In 1985, they enrolled at Ohio University and completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism in 1989. Following this, they continued their education at the University of South Carolina from 1989 to 1990, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Journalism. After a brief gap, from 1992 to 1994, Garrison attended the University of Cincinnati, where they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Modern European History.
