Amy Campbell

Amy Campbell has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Amy began their career as an Organizational Development Intern at ODA- Management and Development Consultancy in 2015. Amy then took on a role as a Talent Management Intern at Refrigeration Solutions in 2016. Amy worked at the University of Cape Town as a Course Tutor and later as the Case Interview Preparation Portfolio Head from 2015 to 2016.

In 2017, Amy worked as a Foreign English Teacher at EPIK in Korea. Amy then joined 2U as a Talent Scout, where they were responsible for recruiting and hiring top talent in various departments. Amy was also involved in the company's diversity and inclusion efforts. During their time at 2U, Amy also had a secondment as an HRIS Specialist, where they maintained Workday HCM and Greenhouse Applicant Tracking System.

From 2021 to 2022, Amy worked as a Talent Partner at Instant Impact and Yapily. Amy was responsible for delivering the full recruitment lifecycle, sourcing unique candidates, and establishing relationships with senior stakeholders.

In 2022, Amy joined Comma as a Senior Talent Partner - Commercial, where they managed the entire recruitment lifecycle and contributed to process design and sourcing strategy.

From 2022 to present, Amy has been working at Octopus Ventures as a Portfolio Talent Partner. Amy'sresponsibilities include partnering with portfolio companies to help them make key hires, delivering the full recruitment lifecycle, and establishing relationships with senior stakeholders.

Most recently, Amy became the COO at Ribbon in 2023. Ribbon is a continuous product insights platform, and their role involves optimizing product journeys, testing designs, and incorporating user feedback into the product development process.

Throughout their career, Amy has demonstrated a strong ability to attract and hire top talent, contribute to process improvement, and establish key relationships with stakeholders.

Amy Campbell's education history is as follows:

Amy Campbell started their education at Herschel Girls' School, where they completed their high school education from 2008 to 2012.

Amy then went on to enroll at the University of Cape Town, where they obtained a Bachelor of Social Science (B.SocSci) degree in Organisational Psychology & International Relations from 2013 to 2015.

Following this, Amy pursued further studies at the University of Cape Town and completed a Bachelor of Science (B.SocSci) Honours (Hons.) degree in Organisational Psychology in 2016.

In 2018, Amy attended the University of Cape Town again and received training in Advanced Human Resource (HR) Management.

Amy continued their education with various specialized programs. In 2019, they attended the MIT Sloan School of Management, where they gained expertise in Digital Marketing Analytics.

Amy then pursued a program in Digital Marketing: Disruptive Strategy at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford in 2019.

In 2020, Amy attended two short-term programs. Amy completed the MBA Essentials program at Stellenbosch Business School and also gained knowledge in Data Analysis for Management at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

Additionally, they obtained several certifications. In 2016, Amy acquired a TESOL & TEYLT certification from TESOL South Africa. In 2017, they earned the Babson: The Entrepreneurial Mindset certification from edX and the Harvard: Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies certification, also from edX. Finally, in 2018, Amy obtained the Advanced Open Water Diver certification from PADI.
