Al Pagar, currently serving as an Operations Analyst at Ribbon Communications since May 2024, was re-hired part-time to enhance workflow and contribute to data analytics. Previously, Al played a vital role at Ribbon, independently developing software for tracking defective units in hardware repair services. In addition, Al works as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for COMP 126 at the UNC Department of Computer Science, supporting 15 students through feedback and class assistance. Al’s research experience includes serving as an Undergraduate Researcher at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, where contributions involved software development for molecular modeling. Earlier positions include guest engagement at Marbles Kids Museum and research at the NC State Center for Geospatial Analytics, focusing on machine learning for ecological forecasting. Al is pursuing dual degrees in Computer Science and Data Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, having graduated from the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics.
