David Stokes

David Stokes has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. David began their career as a student at Marconi Communication in 1984. David then worked as a hardware developer at GEC Plessey Telecommunications from 1984 to 1994. After that, they joined Fujitsu as a systems engineer from 1994 to 1996. David then worked at Lucent Technologies Bell Labs innovations as a systems engineer specializing in optical management systems from 1996 to 1998.

In 1998, David joined Nokia, where they held various roles over the years. These roles included product strategy and product management from 1998 to 2006, UMTS portfolio manager from 2006 to 2007, marketing manager from 2007 to 2012, customer marketing manager from 2012 to 2013, marketing manager - optics from 2013 to 2014, and business and market strategy for IP routing and optics in EMEA from 2014 to 2016.

After Nokia, David moved to ECI Telecom, where they worked as a senior product marketing manager from 2016 to 2020.

Most recently, David joined Ribbon Communications in 2020. David initially worked as a solutions marketing specialist from 2020 to 2021 before becoming the head of IP solutions and IP portfolio marketing in June 2021.

David Stokes completed their M.Eng in Electronic Engineering from Bangor University between 1984 and 1989. David then pursued an MBA in Business from The Open University from 1996 to 2002.
