Malik H. has extensive experience in the field of telecommunications, with a focus on optical network engineering and network operations. Malik has held various roles in different companies over the years.

Starting in 2007, Malik worked as a Transport Engineer at Cox Communications, where they were responsible for engineering TLS and office telephone services using various hardware. Malik also worked on building VLANs and circuits for different network technologies.

In 2008, Malik joined United Information Technologies, Inc. as a Network Integration Engineer, supporting AT&T's DWDM and LTE networks. Malik performed migrations, fail-over testing, and troubleshooting of trouble tickets.

Next, Malik worked as a DWDM/SONET Network Test Engineer at NextGen, where they provided testing and integration services for secured transport networks.

From 2009 to 2010, Malik worked at Level 3 Communications as a TNOC Technician II, responsible for triaging network alarms and outages. Malik also supported a variety of network hardware platforms and element managers.

Starting in 2010, Malik joined ADVA Optical Networking as a Senior Technical Services Training Engineer, where they conducted technical training for the FSP product line and assisted with proof-of-concept testing.

In 2015, Malik worked as a Broadband Detail Engineer II (Contractor) at BlueStream Professional Services, where they designed network layouts and created deployment procedures.

From 2016 to 2017, Malik served as a Senior Optical Network Engineer at Integra Advanced Technology Services, providing expertise in DWDM and CWDM for network service providers.

From 2017 to 2020, Malik worked at Hargray Communications as an OSS Systems/NOC Network Administrator. Malik supported the OSS/network management infrastructure and cross-trained engineering peers in various network technologies.

In 2020, Malik started working as an OTN Services and OSS Systems Consultant independently, advising service providers on establishing network services and providing temporary expertise for various hardware support.

Currently, Malik is employed at Ribbon Communications, where they serve as a Channel Enablement professional. Their role includes partner training and field support for different hardware and networking technologies.

Throughout their career, Malik has consistently demonstrated expertise in optical networking, training, and network support, making him a valuable asset in the telecommunications industry.

Malik H. obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Physics from Tuskegee University, attending from 1990 to 1996. In addition to their formal education, they have also obtained several certifications in various fields. These include certifications such as "Linux: Bash Shell and Scripts", "Using Python for Automation", "Learning ITIL®", "Certified Fiber Optic Specialist", "Certified Fiber Optic Technician", "Computer Electronics", "Network Technical Support", "Computer Fundamentals (Win XP)", "Fiber Optics", "Information Technology Terminology Master", "MS Visio 2007", "SONET", and "Training Delivery and Evaluation". These certifications were obtained from institutions such as LinkedIn, The Fiber Optic Association (FOA), and Brainbench, and were acquired between 2014 and 2020.
