Ron Maginley

Ron Maginley has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Ron started their career at Bell Northern Research, where they worked as a software developer, SW development manager, and senior manager of R&D. Ron was involved in various locations such as Edmonton, Canada; Ann Arbor, Michigan; and Richardson, Texas.

In 1994, they joined Nortel as a senior manager for GSM HLR development, where they led product development and verification teams and was granted two US patents for distributed HLR capabilities inventions. Ron then held various director roles, including director of UMTS/GSM voice core development and director of media gateway development, where they were responsible for software development for Nortel's UMTS/GSM Media Gateway products.

In 2010, Ron joined GENBAND as a program manager and later became the director of media gateway development. Ron continued working in this role until 2017 when they joined Ribbon Communications as the director of media gateway development.

Ron Maginley attended the University of Calgary from 1974 to 1978, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
