Maria Jose Velazquez

Maria Jose Velazquez has a wealth of experience in business development, marketing, and corporate affairs. Maria Jose began their career in 2005 working as an Infrastructure Project Coordinator for the Ministry of Health. In the same year, they joined CEMEX as a Sales Executive and then moved up to New Business Development Coordinator, Multiproducts. In 2010, they returned to CEMEX as Business Development: Housing and Infrastructure Manager and also completed an MBA Internship. In 2013, they co-founded Dreams Distribution Corporation as Business Development and then moved on to Quaker State as International Business Development in 2014. In 2015, they joined United Partners DR as Business Development and then moved to INCECA in 2016 as General Manager and Founder, developing the first online platform in the country. In 2019, they joined CECOP International Independent Opticians as Country Head - Mexico and in 2020, they co-founded Rice App with the mission to unite online consumers with restaurants and suppliers.

Maria Jose Velazquez completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Civil Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey between 1999 and 2004. Maria Jose then went on to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from IE Business School between 2009 and 2010, studying Business.
