Juan Rivera

Juan Rivera has a diverse work experience history. Juan started their career as a Cashier at Meijer from 2008 to 2013. Juan then worked as a Student Clerical Assistant at Purdue University from 2012 to 2014. During the same period, they also served as the Head Diving Coach at West Lafayette Community School Corporation. From 2014 to 2015, Juan worked as a Student Advancement Associate at Purdue University. Juan then joined Camp Saginaw as a Division Leader, Assistant Division Leader, and Counselor from 2011 to 2015. In 2015, they took on the role of Head Diving Coach at Richland-Bean Blossom Community School Corporation. Lastly, they are currently employed as a Materials Engineer at Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division.

Juan Rivera attended Merrillville High School from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained their high school diploma. Juan then went on to Purdue University from 2010 to 2015, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering. In terms of additional certifications, Juan obtained various certifications from different institutions. In October 2016, they completed a certification in Basic Corrosion from NACE International. In January 2015, they obtained a certification in Radomes from the Georgia Institute of Technology. More recently, Juan acquired several certifications related to composite design and manufacturing, including Experimental Design Basics from Coursera in September 2021, and Composite Design and Manufacturing certifications in Process and Materials; Product Development and Simulation; and Validation and Production, all from LinkedIn in July 2021. Juan also obtained certifications in Microsoft Project 2019 and Project Online Desktop Essential Training from LinkedIn in June 2021, and SOLIDWORKS 2019 Essential Training from LinkedIn in May 2021. Furthermore, Juan holds certifications in Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid from the American Red Cross, obtained in October 2022, and Coach and Coach-Diving from USA Diving and the Amateur Athletic Union of the United States, Inc., obtained in February 2022 and September 2020 respectively. Lastly, Juan has one incomplete certification, Advanced Composite Structures: Fabrication and Damage Repair - Phase I, from Abaris Training.
