Kolongi Rogers

Kolongi Rogers serves as the Director of Information Technology at Richland County Recreation Commission since July 2022, previously held the position of Information Technology Project Manager at the South Carolina Department of Mental Health from August 2014 to September 2022, supervising a team of 16 in IT support. Prior to this, Kolongi was a computer technician for the Sumter District Board of Education from April 2005 to July 2014, addressing network systems maintenance and technology misuse. Additional experience includes coaching track and field and cross country at Sumter High School and Lakewood High School, contributing to multiple athletes achieving national recognition. Military experience as a Sergeant and Information Management Officer in the US Army Reserve included support and maintenance operations in various locations, including Iraq. Kolongi's educational background consists of two Bachelor’s degrees in Computer and Information Systems Security and Computer Information Sciences from Alabama State University, obtained between 1998 and 2004.
