John Calian

John Calian has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. John is currently the CEO of Riddle&Code since 2022. In addition, they are the Co-Founder of RDDL Foundation, a decentralized data oracles platform focusing on sustainability and energy.

John has also served as a Board Member at Interplanetary Database Foundation IPDB since 2021 and as an Advisor at Tritium Networks since 2021. Before that, they were a member of the Advisory Board at Jolocom, providing guidance on long-term vision, product strategy, and fundraising for their decentralized digital identity management infrastructure.

John Calian has extensive experience in the technology sector, having held roles such as Vice Chair / Advisory Board Member at BENOCS from 2018 to 2021 and Managing Director / Geschäftsführer at trust2core - blockchain powered infrastructure in 2020. John also spent several years at T-Labs, Telekom Innovation Laboratories, where they served as SVP & Head of T-Labs and later as Head of Blockchain Product & Co-Founder, The Blockchain Group.

Before their involvement in the technology industry, they were the Managing Director, Service Delivery at Synchronoss Technologies from 2015 to 2017, where they led the business in Seattle and managed key accounts. Prior to that, they held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Kopo Kopo Inc, a fintech company enabling businesses in emerging markets to grow through digital payments.

John Calian earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History & Political Science from the University of Colorado Boulder between 1992 and 1998. John later pursued an MBA in Technology Management at the University of Washington - Michael G. Foster School of Business from 2002 to 2003.
