Regis Desgroppes

Régis Desgroppes has a diverse work experience in software engineering and team leadership roles. Régis started their career at Schlumberger, where they worked on ticket vending machines for the Paris mass transit authority. Régis then joined Parkeon, where they led a software project for contact-less ticket reloading machines.

Desgroppes later joined LEIRIOS, a company focusing on Model Based Testing, where they contributed to the development of their software and integrated third-party libraries. Régis then moved to Smartesting, which later became known as Smartesting, where they worked on test design software and conducted cross-compilation for different operating systems.

Desgroppes then joined acrolinx GmbH, where they implemented automation and automated tests on existing codebases. After that, they worked at Nokia as a Software Engineer in Test, improving the quality of maps routing by implementing software craftsmanship practices.

Régis then joined HERE Technologies as a Principal Software Engineer, where they developed the Open Location Platform and contributed to its scalability and growth. Desgroppes also worked as a Tech Lead at Daimler Mobility Services GmbH, where they helped scale up routing-related services for autonomous vehicles.

Most recently, they joined rideOS (acquired by Gopuff) as a Senior Staff Software Engineer. Desgroppes has demonstrated expertise in various programming languages, including C++, Python, and Java. Régis has experience in automation, testing, and developing innovative location-based applications.

Régis Desgroppes began their education journey by pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at UTBM from 1991 to 1995. After completing their undergraduate studies, they furthered their academic pursuits by enrolling at Université de Haute-Alsace Mulhouse-Colmar from 1995 to 1996, where they earned a Master's Degree in Industrial Software Engineering.
