Donovan Newton

Donovan Newton has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Donovan started their career as a Development Manager at Trillium Group from September 1997 to December 1998. Donovan then worked as a CFO at Goldman Sachs Realty Japan from February 1999 to July 2004. Following this, they served as CFO, Strategic Investment Group at Goldman Sachs Japan Ltd from August 2004 to January 2008. Donovan then joined Living and Leisure Australia Limited as a CFO and Company Secretary from October 2008 to May 2012. Donovan Newton then became a Business and Finance Advisory and Consultant, working as a self-employed individual from July 2013 to August 2014. Donovan then joined domain.com.au as a CFO from September 2014 to February 2016. From March 2016 to June 2017, they explored numerous business opportunities in a self-employed capacity. Donovan Newton then joined Spirit Telecom Limited as their CFO from July 2017 to August 2019. 2020 proved to be a busy year for Donovan Newton, as they took on the role of Chief Operating Officer at both Movigo Group and Right2Drive Accident Loan Cars, starting in July 2020.

Donovan Newton obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Accounting from the University of South Australia, where they studied from 1989 to 1992. Donovan then pursued further education and completed the CPA (Certified Practising Accountants) program at the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants, studying from 1995 to 1997. Additionally, in 2020, they obtained several certifications including Digital Transformation, Finance Foundations: Business Valuation, Strategic Thinking, and Assessing and Improving Strategic Plans, from LinkedIn.
