Lauri Mäki has extensive work experience in various roles within the technology and gaming industry. Lauri started their career as a 3D artist at Fathammer in 2001 and worked on several game titles. Lauri then progressed to become a lead level designer, where they took on technical issues related to engine, art tools, and artflow within the company. In 2005, they became the Technical Art Director at Fathammer, responsible for overseeing the 3D team.
In 2007, Lauri joined Acrodea Europe as a Technical Designer until 2010 when they moved to Pixelcrust as a Le Artist. Lauri worked at Pixelcrust until 2021.
Most recently, Lauri has been with Rightware since 2010, starting as a Technical Designer before progressing to Lead Technical Designer. Lauri then transitioned into the role of Product Manager, where they were involved in concept smashing, planning and breakdowns with architects, managing backlogs and QA items, and ensuring the inclusion of the desired features in release trains. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Program Manager at Rightware.
Lauri Mäki attended the Helsinki senior secondary school for visual arts from 1999 to 2002, where they studied art.
