Astrid van Schaijk

Astrid van Schaijk is currently serving as an Omgevingsmanager for sustainable energy at Rijkswaterstaat NOVA since February 2023, focusing on the OER program. Prior to this role, Astrid held various positions including Projectleider Omgevingsveiligheid at Veiligheids- en Gezondheidsregio Gelderland-Midden from April 2002 to February 2023, specializing in environmental safety with an emphasis on wildfire management, climate adaptation, and regional risk profiling. Additionally, Astrid served as a Senior Beleidsadviseur with the Veiligheidsberaad for a year and worked as a Beleidsmedewerker in external safety at Gemeente Arnhem. Previous experience includes roles at AkzoNobel, ABN AMRO, and Hoekloos. Astrid holds an Ing degree in Chemical Technology from Fontys Hogeschool Eindhoven and completed training at Intermediair Trainingen in 2007.
