Michael Hamel

Michael Hamel is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in operations strategy and Agile methodologies, currently serving as the Senior Director of Operations Strategy for Global Product Delivery at Rimini Street since August 2018. With a focus on leadership and transformation, Michael oversees a division comprising approximately 350 members across 38 cross-functional teams, guiding globally distributed staff and Agile coaches. Prior to Rimini Street, Michael held roles at REI as an Agile and Lean Coach and Scrum Master, where expertise in continuous improvement and team delivery was demonstrated. Additional experience includes positions at BlackBerry as a Senior Project Manager/Scrum Master, T-Mobile in project management and financial operations, AAA Washington as a customer service lead, and Capital One Auto Finance as a loan underwriter. Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from San Diego Christian College.
