Ana Carolina Silva, PhD, CDI.D, has over a decade of experience in Community and Social Performance (CSP) within the mining industry, currently serving as Regional Lead - Americas at Rio Tinto since May 2010. Silva has held various roles including Regional Manager and Acting General Manager, where responsibilities encompassed leadership across multiple projects, social risk management, and stakeholder engagement across various countries in the Americas. Previous experience includes roles as a Social Development Consultant at Monkey Forest Consulting and Community Relations Manager at Minera Panama, as well as research and consulting positions at The University of British Columbia and the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada. Silva holds a PhD in Corporate Social Responsibility & Sustainability from The University of British Columbia, complemented by degrees in Law and Business Administration from Brazilian institutions.
