Aoife Pauley

Aoife Pauley is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in corporate reputation management and external communications. Currently serving as the Global Head of External Communications at Rio Tinto since September 2023, Pauley previously held multiple leadership roles at Johnson & Johnson from February 2017 to September 2023, where responsibilities included shaping corporate reputation, managing employee communications, and leading global social impact storytelling. Prior to Johnson & Johnson, Pauley worked at GSK, overseeing media relations and corporate communications for consumer healthcare and vaccines. Additional experience includes leadership positions at Celgene, Fleishman-Hillard, Hanover Communications, and the Association of British Healthcare Industries. Aoife Pauley holds an MSc in Science Communication from Queen's University Belfast and a BSc in Biotechnology from Cardiff University.
