Lucy Potter

Lucy Potter is a seasoned professional in the mining and geology sectors, currently serving as the General Manager of Technical - Minerals at Rio Tinto since May 2023. Lucy's extensive experience includes founding and presiding over Etana Mining Mentors, where customized training and mentoring services were delivered to a diverse client base from January 2022 to May 2023. Prior to this, Lucy held various leadership roles at Glencore from 2010 to 2021, including Global Head of Geology and Mineral Resources, overseeing resource estimates and strategic planning across multiple operations. Earlier experience includes roles at IAMGOLD Corporation and Falconbridge, focusing on geological studies and project management. Lucy holds a Graduate Diploma in Mining Law, Finance and Sustainability from Western University, a Bachelor of Education from Laurentian University, and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from McGill University.
