Kimberly Lawes is a designer at RIOS. Kimberly has also worked as a legal secretary, design associate, teaching assistant, and architecture intern.
Kimberly began their career as a legal secretary at Leydig, Voit & Mayer, Ltd. in January 2012. In this role, they provided administrative support to the trademark partner and patent litigation associates, including calendar management, case research, and event coordination. Kimberly also handled all stages of correspondence with clients and foreign associates, booked travel arrangements, and prepared status reports.
In January 2018, Kimberly began working as a design associate at Yu2e. In this role, they were responsible for designing and developing client presentations, proposals, and project deliverables. Kimberly also managed project schedules and budgets, and coordinated with external vendors.
From September 2016 to April 2017, Kimberly served as a teaching assistant at SCI-Arc. In this role, they assisted professors with lesson planning and grading. Kimberly also helped students with their projects and provided feedback on their work.
In June 2015, Kimberly interned at Project M+, an architecture firm. During their internship, they assisted the architects with designing and drafting plans for residential and commercial projects. Kimberly also helped with site visits, research, and material selection.
Kimberly Lawes completed a Master of Architecture degree at the Southern California Institute of Architecture, and also holds a B.A. in Studio Art from Vassar College.
