Amanda Shank

VP, Business Development at Ripken Baseball

Amanda Shank began their career in sports as an intern for USA TODAY's Sports Desk in January 2005. Amanda then interned for the United States Naval Academy's Sports Information office in May 2005 and for the University of Maryland's Public Relations office in September 2005. In March 2006, they joined the NFL Players Association as a Senior Manager in the Licensing & Business Development department. During their 11 years with the NFLPA, Amanda oversaw digital and unconventional licensing categories, guided product development and strategic planning for more than 25 partners and licensees, and identified prospects and new business opportunities. In July 2017, Amanda joined Ripken Baseball as VP of Business Development.

Amanda Shank graduated with a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Maryland. Amanda then went on to get their Master of Professional Studies in Sports Leadership from Northeastern University. Amanda also has a certification from Harvard Business School Executive Education in Driving Profitable Growth and a certification from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace. Additionally, they are a Certified Licensing Executive from LIMA and has a Leadership Fundamentals certification from the Center for Creative Leadership.
