Fred Jackson Jr. has extensive experience in music education and production spanning several decades. Currently, Fred leads the "Reach, Teach, Play" music Discovery Program at Ravinia Festival, providing music education to over 150 K-3rd grade children in under-resourced Chicago Public Schools. As a Music Teacher at Little Linguists Academy, Fred teaches Pre-K to 8th grade students using a self-designed curriculum aligned with music standards in Chicago and Texas. In addition to mentoring high school students in a male-initiative program at After School Matters, Fred serves as Vice President of Operations at Magic Carpet Music LLC, overseeing various business activities while also performing and composing. Contributions to music education include instructing the All City Jazz Band and teaching at Darwin Elementary within Chicago Public Schools. Fred's educational background includes a Master's degree in Jazz Studies from DePaul University and dual Bachelor's degrees from Southern University.
