Jamil Khan has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Jamil is currently serving as the Vice President of Asset Management at Rise Light & Power. Before joining Rise Light & Power, they worked as the Director of Development at the same company. Prior to that, Jamil held roles at Ørsted, where they worked as a Project Development Director and a Development Manager in Market Strategies and New Projects. Jamil also gained experience at Deepwater Wind as a Development Manager. Jamil has been involved in the renewable energy sector and served as the Board President of the New York Solar Energy Industries Association. Jamil has also worked at Tesla as an Associate Manager and at SolarCity as the Director of Policy & Electricity Markets and Deputy Director of Policy & Electricity Markets. Earlier in their career, they worked at the NYC Mayor's Office of Long Term Planning & Sustainability and The Urban Energy Policy Institute, where they held positions as a Program Manager and Energy Policy Analyst. Jamil began their career as an Energy Policy Analyst Intern at MJ Beck Consulting and as a Staff Accountant at Hertzbach.

Jamil Khan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University. Jamil also obtained a Master of Science in Environmental Management & Economics from the same institution.
