Bernadette Penarubia has been working in the professional world since 1999. Bernadette began their career as a Customer Care Consultant (Technical Support) at AOL Members Services, Inc. In 2009, they joined HEMLOCK VENTURES INC. DBA LITT as a Food Counter Attendant. Bernadette was promoted to Food Service Supervisor in 2011, a role in which they supervised, coordinated, and scheduled the activities of staff that prepared, portioned, and served food. In 2016, they joined Second Cup Coffee Shop as a Team Supervisor, where they estimated and ordered ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation and ensured that food and service met quality control standards. In 2018, they became a Sales Advisor at Club Demonstration Services. In 2019, they began working as an IT Specialist (Practicum) at Xii Tech IT Solution and a Customer Service Representative at Family Express. Bernadette also worked as a Payroll and HR Administrator at Snowstorm Technologies (Canada) Inc., where they gathered and tracked time records of employees and calculated hours worked in order to make accurate payments. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Rise People as a Technical Support Specialist.

Bernadette Penarubia attended De La Salle-Araneta University from 1994 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Bernadette then attended CDI College Surrey in Canada from 2018 to 2019, where they studied Network and System Administration/Administrator.
