At Rise8, the Growth Manager plays a critical role in our mission to drive significant growth and make a positive impact on the world. In this dynamic role, you will lead efforts to expand our market reach by identifying new opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and deepening client relationships. Your comprehensive responsibilities will span market research, marketing intelligence, lead generation, proposal management, and supporting contract administration. A key aspect of your role will be to support the end-to-end customer experience/journey, from initial contact through to close, execution, and renewal, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for our clients. Collaboration with the Marketing and Delivery teams is essential to deliver holistic solutions that exceed customer expectations. As a Senior Growth Manager at Rise8, you will: 

  • Conduct comprehensive Federal Capture market research by reviewing solicitation opportunities posted on authoritative government websites such as SAM.gov, GSA MAS, and other relevant government procurement portals.
  • Gather intelligence on upcoming procurements, contract vehicles, and agency priorities to inform strategic capture planning and proposal development efforts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and subject matter experts, to develop winning proposals and capture plans.
  • Consistently conduct daily/weekly/monthly primary actions (calls, emails, meetings, etc.) with customers to generate leads, qualify leads, submit proposals, and win opportunities.
  • Conduct customer calls and meetings to understand client requirements, provide product demonstrations, and discuss potential solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, tailored to the needs and interests of clients, to showcase Rise8's value proposition and capabilities.
  • Utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms such as HubSpot to manage lead generation, prospect engagement, and customer relationship activities
  • Collaborate with partners to develop mutually beneficial teaming agreements, joint venture arrangements, or subcontracting relationships to enhance our competitive position and capabilities.
  • Write and edit proposal content, including executive summaries, solution descriptions, technical approaches, and past performance references.
  • Navigate and interpret government solicitations, requests for proposals (RFPs), and contract vehicles to identify requirements, evaluation criteria, and compliance considerations.
  • Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, delivery, and operations teams to provide updates, recommendations, and to coordinate alignment on growth initiatives. 
  • Maintain documentation of market research findings, competitive analyses, proposal development activities, and contract administration processes.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and efficiency gains within the growth management function.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in business development or sales, particularly within the government sector.
  • Deep understanding of working with the VA, demonstrating ability to lead account growth.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to articulate complex ideas effectively and with humility.
  • Results-driven mindset, with a track record of meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Strong project and time management skills, and an ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and other sales tools, and experienced in using a consultative sales process to build relationships.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and proficiency in writing and reviewing government proposals.
  • Ability to network actively and represent the organization at professional and government-focused events.
  • Passionate about user-centered design, with a strong sense of empathy and commitment to solving customer problems.
  • Continuous learner, always seeking to improve workflows, optimize processes, and foster open communication.
  • Detail-oriented, with professional persistence to drive sales and a strong motivation to succeed in a competitive environment.
  • Maintain a high level of expertise on services and the government landscape, ensuring the ability to identify and pursue government RFPs effectively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of successful capture management experience in the Federal sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal procurement regulations and an understanding of the FAR and government procurement processes.
  • Deep understanding of how to apply corporate core competencies to secure wins in response to government procurements.
  • Experienced in leading capture teams and working with integrated capture teams across multiple vendors to win government work.
  • Ability to provide strategic and tactical guidance for marketing materials and thought leadership targeted at government agencies and partners.
  • Strong organizational leadership skills, collaborative with the Executive Team, open to critique, and proactive in sharing ideas.
  • Visionary leadership with a commitment to long-term strategic goals, including pushing boundaries and evolving processes, offerings, and thought.
  • Familiarity with Government Customer/Citizen Experience, User Experience/Human-Centered Design (UX/HCD), and web and digital communication technologies and platforms (CMS/DXPs).

Salary 

The annual salary range for this role as it is posted is $133,000 - $200,000 OTE regardless of final candidate location within the United States. The final job level and annual salary will be determined based on the education, qualification, knowledge, skills, ability, and experience of the final candidate(s), and calibrated against relevant market data and internal team equity.

  • Flexible schedule in a 100% distributed workforce 
  • Premium Insurance: We cover up to 100% of the employee premium and up to 80% of the combined dependent premium, depending on pay band. We also cover 100% of the premium for employee and dependent Dental and Vision as well as employee premiums for Life and Disability coverage.
  • Retirement: 401k match at 10% gross pay.
  • Paid time off (PTO): 4 weeks combined accrued vacation and sick leave, 10 Federal holidays, your birthday, jury duty, and bereavement.
  • Education & Training: Accrued budget of up to $4,000 per year for classes, travel, events, and materials.
  • Wellness Budget: To encourage and support a well-rounded healthy lifestyle, we cover 50% reimbursement on a variety of wellness activities and products, up to $500 per calendar year.
  • Equipment: We offer a MacBook Pro and multi-port adapter.

All of Rise8’s work in this area is with Federal Government customers that require our employees involved with their projects be U.S. citizens. As such, this role requires U.S. citizenship. If hired, you would also be required to go through a background investigation.
