Ian Shaw

Ian Shaw has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Ian is currently the Director of Product Management at Riskonnect, Inc. since May 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Sword GRC as the Head of Product from November 2021 to May 2022, and as a Product Manager from May 2018 to November 2021.

Ian also has experience at Sword Active Risk, where they held multiple roles. From July 2016 to April 2018, they were a Business Analyst, responsible for product expertise and translating business requirements into user stories. Prior to that, from November 2011 to June 2016, they served as a Senior Systems Engineer, providing applications and systems support for their risk and audit management platform.

Before joining Sword Active Risk, Ian worked as an English Language Teacher at Zhejiang Yuexiu University from September 2010 to August 2011. Ian took a sabbatical leave to travel and ended up extending their stay in China, working as a foreign language teacher.

Earlier in their career, Ian was with Strategic Thought Group, where they held the position of Lead Applications Analyst from January 2008 to May 2010, and Applications Analyst from August 2006 to January 2008. Ian also holds the ITIL Foundation certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice, although the month and year of obtaining the certification are not specified.
