Balsher Singh Sidhu

Balsher Singh Sidhu, Ph.D., is a Senior Climate Researcher at riskthinking.AI since March 2023 and holds an Adjunct Professor position at The University of British Columbia, where involvement includes conducting a nationwide spatial analysis on biofuels and nature-based climate solutions to support Canada's net-zero GHG emissions targets by 2050. As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, research focused on advanced statistical and machine learning methods to model agricultural productivity in India under climate change scenarios and analyze adaptation strategies. Balsher's professional experience includes a consultancy role at The World Bank, leading climate data analysis for the SDG Atlas, along with significant research and engineering roles in various institutions. Balsher holds a Ph.D. in Resources, Environment and Sustainability and has previous degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Toronto and the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
