Sarah Singer

Sarah Singer has a diverse and extensive work experience in the media industry. Sarah is currently the Chief Content Officer at Ritual, a role they started in January 2023. Prior to that, from 2021 to 2022, they were the VP and Head of Multimedia at Morning Brew, where they successfully launched and managed the Brew's first-ever multimedia department. Sarah led the development of video, audio, and social media teams, transforming the organization into a comprehensive, multi-format media company.

Before their role at Morning Brew, Sarah worked at VICE Media as the Sr. Director of Innovation from 2019 to 2021. Sarah launched and managed a mobile video team that focused on growing and engaging VICE's Gen Z audience. Sarah also played a key role in launching VICE on emerging platforms like Google Web Stories.

Sarah's work experience also includes teaching roles. From 2019 to 2020, they were an Adjunct Professor of Multimedia Storytelling at New York University, where they designed and taught a hands-on seminar on video production, podcasting, and digital storytelling. Prior to that, they worked as a Teacher Development Coach at The New Teacher Project and as an English and Special Education Teacher at DeWitt Clinton High School in the NYC Department of Education.

Earlier in their career, Sarah held various roles at Mic, a digital media company. These roles included Executive Producer of Video, where they led a 40-person video team and developed Mic's strategic digital video initiatives. Sarah also served as Executive Producer of Strategic Video Initiatives, Director of Innovation, Managing Editor, and Publishing Editor.

Additionally, Sarah had a successful tenure as an Executive Producer at WaitWhat, where they launched and managed the production of the podcast Should This Exist?. Under their leadership, the show became the top-ranked tech podcast on Apple Podcasts and was nominated for a Webby Award.

Sarah Singer has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature/Letters from Cornell University. Sarah also holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Education from Hunter College. Currently, Sarah is pursuing a Certificate of Professional Achievement (CPA) in Narrative Medicine at Columbia University, with an expected completion date in 2023.
