Shirleen Hassian

Shirleen Hassian, CRCM, has over two decades of experience in the financial industry, with a focus on compliance and risk management. Shirleen has held various leadership positions at credit unions and banks, including roles as SVP - Compliance Manager at River City Bank and Director, Compliance at Origence. Their expertise includes overseeing corporate compliance, consumer lending support, and operations, making their a valuable asset in ensuring regulatory adherence and mitigating risk within financial institutions.

Shirleen Hassian, CRCM, obtained their BA in Business Management from Saint Mary's College of California in 2006. Shirleen furthered their education by attending the Western CUNA Management School, where they earned a certification in Credit Unions from 1998 to 2000.

Later, Shirleen pursued specialized certifications in regulatory compliance: they became a NAFCU Certified Compliance Officer in 2013 and recently achieved the Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) designation from the ABA Regulatory Compliance School in 2022. Additionally, they attended the NAFCU Regulatory Compliance School in 2013 for further studies in compliance.
