Erin Hagen

Restoration Scientist at River Partners

Erin Hagen is a seasoned conservation professional currently serving as the Senior Director of the Keller Science Action Center at the Field Museum, where the focus is on applying science for conservation and community well-being in the Andes Amazon and the Chicago region. Erin has held various significant positions, including Director of Science and Restoration Scientist at River Partners, and Director of Conservation and South America Regional Director at Island Conservation, where efforts concentrated on preventing island species extinctions. Previous roles include a lecturer at the University of Washington and the University of Puget Sound, as well as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Canterbury. Erin's early career involved project ecologist work with Oikonos Ecosystem Knowledge and independent contracting with The Nature Conservancy, highlighting expertise in avian conservation and ecological assessments. Erin holds a Ph.D. and a Master's degree in Forest Resources from the University of Washington and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Truman State University.
