Shawn Dainas

Shawn Dainas has a strong background in communications and brand management. Shawn began their career as an Account Supervisor at Golin Harris Communications, where they managed insulation PR efforts for Owens Corning. Shawn then joined Fleishman-Hillard as an SVP, and managed multiple programs for SBC (now AT&T Communications), including the launch of Project Pronto and the SBC Yahoo! DSL.

After that, Dainas worked at Sun Microsystems as a Group Manager, leading strategic media and thought leadership programs. Shawn focused on topics such as innovation, eco/green computing, and Sun's strategy in emerging markets. Following their time at Sun, they became the Senior Director of Executive Communications and Thought Leadership at Yahoo!, where they played a key role in developing corporate messaging and thought leadership platforms.

Dainas then moved on to Polycom, serving as the Vice President of Global Corporate Communications. In this role, they significantly increased Polycom's brand awareness through various public relations and communication strategies.

Shawn'scurrent position is the Vice President of Worldwide Communications and Brand at Riverbed Technology. In addition to leading a diverse range of communication functions, Dainas represents the company in CEO meetings and is responsible for overseeing all communications related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Throughout their career, Dainas has demonstrated strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a knack for driving brand awareness and thought leadership.

Shawn Dainas earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, attending from 1990 to 1994.
