Ya-Ching Chou has had a diverse range of work experiences. Ya-Ching started their career as an intern at Sugar Communications in 2007, followed by an internship at JP Morgan Chase in 2009. Ya-Ching then worked as a Junior Consultant at Double Effect from 2011 to 2012, where their responsibilities included PMO-related activities and process design.
In 2008, Ya-Ching embarked on their entrepreneurial journey by opening Restaurant Lotus Sakura, focusing on business strategy, process improvements, finance, and supplier management. Ya-Ching also owned and managed Hotel Restaurant Carillon from 2013 to 2017, where they took on responsibilities in human resources, business strategy, finance, relationship management, and legal administration.
Furthering their passion for entrepreneurship, Ya-Ching established Luceth Administration in 2017 to provide start-up advice and support to small and medium-sized businesses in the hotel and restaurant industry. Ya-Ching handled various administrative tasks, such as setting up administration, managing payroll, and creating personnel and supplier contracts.
Currently, Ya-Ching serves as the HR & Finance Manager at Riverflex, a management consultancy firm. In this role, they support business operations, human resources, finance, and accounting activities.
Throughout their career, Ya-Ching has developed a strong background in financial services, consultancy, and entrepreneurship, with a focus on strategy development, process improvements, and administrative management.
Ya-Ching Chou has a diverse education history. In 1997-2003, they attended OSG Sevenwolden and obtained their VWO degree, specializing in Economie & Maatschappij. Then, from 2003 to 2006, they attended the University of Groningen and earned their Bachelor of Science degree in International Economics and Business. Ya-Ching continued their studies at the same university from 2006 to 2007 and completed a Master's degree in the same field of study. In 2005-2006, they also attended Fudan University, focusing on International Economics and Business. In 2008-2009, Ya-Ching Chou pursued their Pre-Master Law degree in International and European Law at the University of Amsterdam.
In addition to their formal education, Ya-Ching Chou obtained several certifications. In February 2008, they received a certification in Sociale Hygiëne from SVH. Later, in April 2010, they completed the Leermeestertraining from the same institution. In August 2011, they obtained the Algemene Opleiding Bankbedrijf - Banking Certificate from NIBE-SVV. Also in 2011, in October, they earned the Prince II Foundation certification from APM Group. Finally, in September 2019, they completed the 200-Hour Hatha Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training, certified by Yoga Alliance.
