Jim Christie

Jim Christie has a diverse work experience in various roles. Jim is currently working as a Senior Product Owner at Riverside Insights since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an Agile Coach and Trainer at Owlsy and Lead Agile Trainer at Hanesbrands Inc. In their roles, they developed training content and delivered training to Scrum Teams and stakeholders.

Before that, Jim worked at Pearson as an Agile Facilitator, coaching and training teams and individuals to deliver working software. Jim also has experience at Shelter Insurance Companies, where they worked as an Agile Coach and Trainer, Scrum Master, and Software Developer. In these roles, they guided teams in the application of Agile methodologies and was involved in designing and implementing software applications.

Jim also had a role of Agile Coach and Linux Admin at 979 Design Studio, where they helped teams improve workflows. Jim started their career at Daniel Boone Regional Library, where they held various roles, including IT Senior Associate, Web Associate, Public Services Senior Associate, and Technical Services & Collection Management Associate. In these roles, they played a crucial role in planning and executing IT initiatives and designing and coding web applications.

Jim also worked as a MEND Facilitator at Family Counseling Center of Mid-Missouri, where they facilitated a program aimed at helping individuals understand and reform their behavior related to domestic violence.

Jim Christie's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Philosophy and Fine Arts from the University of Missouri-Columbia, which they obtained from 2006 to 2014. Prior to that, they attended Southeast Missouri State University from 2001 to 2003, where they studied Fine and Studio Arts but did not obtain a degree.

In addition to their formal education, Jim has obtained multiple certifications. These include a Professional Scrum Master I and II certification from Scrum.org in September 2020, a Training from the Back of the Room Practitioner certification from agile42 in November 2017, a PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification from the Project Management Institute in April 2017, a Certified SAFe Agilist certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. in August 2020, an Advanced Certified ScrumMaster certification from Scrum Alliance in January 2018, a Certified Scrum Product Owner certification from Scrum Alliance in June 2016, a Certified Scrum Professional - ScrumMaster certification from Scrum Alliance in January 2019, a Certified ScrumMaster certification from Scrum Alliance in June 2016, and a Certified Agile Leadership I certification from Scrum Alliance in November 2018.
