Scott Miller

Scott Miller has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Scott started their career as a Sales Intern at Caterpillar Inc. in 1998 and worked there until 1999. Scott then joined Union County Public Schools as a Business & Entrepreneurship HS Teacher from 2006 to 2008. After that, they worked at Watershed Charlotte as the Director of Leadership & Social Justice Initiatives from 2008 to 2016.

Scott then moved on to ITW, where they served as the Commercial District Manager - Southeast from 2016 to 2018. Scott then joined Torrent Consulting as the People Director from 2018 to 2020.

Scott's most recent roles include working at Aperture Education, LLC as the Director of People from 2020 to 2021, and then as the VP of People & Culture from 2021 to 2023. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Talent Development & Culture at Riverside Insights starting from 2023.

Scott Miller began their education at Bowling Green State University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Economics between 1997 and 1999. Scott then attended Huntington University from 1999 to 2001, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business/Managerial Economics. Scott went on to pursue a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree at Indiana Wesleyan University from 2002 to 2004. Finally, from 2006 to 2008, they attended North Carolina State University's Lateral Entry Program in Secondary Education and Teaching.

In addition to their academic achievements, Scott has obtained several certifications. Scott earned a Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion in HR Management from HRCI in May 2022. In July 2020, they completed a course on Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging from LinkedIn. Scott also became a Certified Small Giants Leader through the Small Giants Community in October 2019. Furthermore, they obtained the SHRM - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification from SHRM in August 2020. Lastly, they received training in Other-Centered Sales Training from ASLAN Training and Development, although the specific month and year of completion are not provided.
