Scott Miller has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Scott started their career as a Sales Intern at Caterpillar Inc. in 1998 and worked there until 1999. Scott then joined Union County Public Schools as a Business & Entrepreneurship HS Teacher from 2006 to 2008. After that, they worked at Watershed Charlotte as the Director of Leadership & Social Justice Initiatives from 2008 to 2016.

Finally, from 2006 to 2008, they attended North Carolina State University's Lateral Entry Program in Secondary Education and Teaching.

In addition to their academic achievements, Scott has obtained several certifications. Scott earned a Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion in HR Management from HRCI in May 2022. In July 2020, they completed a course on Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging from LinkedIn. Scott also became a Certified Small Giants Leader through the Small Giants Community in October 2019. Furthermore, they obtained the SHRM - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification from SHRM in August 2020. Lastly, they received training in Other-Centered Sales Training from ASLAN Training and Development, although the specific month and year of completion are not provided.
