Christian Nelson is an accomplished software developer currently employed at Riverside Research since June 2020. Prior to this role, Christian worked as a UAV Manager at The Thrasher Group from June 2017 to June 2020, focusing on Unmanned Aerial Vehicle operations, including LiDAR acquisition, photogrammetry techniques, and safety protocols. Christian's expertise in mapping and surveying was further honed as a GIS Analyst at Blue Mountain Incorporated from August 2016 to May 2018, where responsibilities included environmental mapping and workflow streamlining through Python programming. An earlier position as a Technician at the West Virginia GIS Tech Center involved digitizing state-wide datasets and maintaining GIS databases. Christian earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Geoscience with a minor in GIS from West Virginia University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Oregon State University, along with an Associate's Degree in Business Administration from WVU Potomac State College.
