Shubham Kumar

Shubham Kumar is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in software development and management, currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at Rivian since February 2020. At Rivian, Shubham has led the deployment of software for High Compute Platforms and successfully implemented Level-2/3 autonomy features for the first generation of vehicles. Previously, Shubham was a Principal Engineer at Rivian, where leadership in software development was instrumental to the release of the first vehicle from the Rivian Factory. Prior experience includes a Software Engineering Manager role at NextNav, overseeing firmware and software for a high-precision positioning system, and a Senior Staff Software Engineer position focused on terrestrial positioning solutions. Shubham's career began at Texas Instruments as a Software Team Lead and Software Design Engineer, where substantial contributions were made to ARM platforms and GNSS chipset firmware. Shubham holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer from Delhi College of Engineering, earned between 1997 and 2001.
