Wassym Bensaid

VP, Software Development at Rivian

Wassym Bensaid is the Vice President of Software Development at Rivian. Wassym has over 20 years of experience in the tech industry and has held various leadership positions at different companies.

Bensaid started their career as an intern at LEM, a tools software development company. Wassym then went on to work at STMicroelectronics as a DSP Audio Software Developer. In 2001, they became a Platform Technical Lead at Motorola.

In 2005, NXP acquires Freescale Semiconductor and Bensaid becomes the Smartphone Platform Program Manager. Wassym held this position until 2009 when they transitioned to Intel Corporation as the Sr Director of Android Software Engineering.

In 2017, Bensaid became the Vice President of IOT Systems Architecture at Silver Spring Networks. Wassym stayed in this role until 2018 when they took on the role of Vice President of Engineering at RED Hydrogen.

Bensaid has been with Rivian since 2019 and is currently the VP of Software Development.

Wassym Bensaid is a Telecommunications Engineer who attended the Ecole Nationale d'Ingénieurs de Tunis.

Wassym Bensaid reports to Charles Sanderson, Chief Engineer. Wassym Bensaid works with Randy Frank - VP, Body & Interior Engineering, Rahul Gulati - Head of Engineering, Vehicle Services, and Vidya Rajagopalan - VP, Engineering - Hardware.
