David Blandford

David Blandford has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. David started their career as a Graduate Teaching Fellow at the University of Oregon in 2010. David then worked as a Staff Accountant at Isler CPA, where they audited state and local governments and small businesses. In 2012, they joined Englander Bedding Co as a Staff Accountant and later became a Senior Staff Accountant. Their responsibilities included preparing financial statements, performing reconciliations, and automating accounting tasks using Excel macros.

In 2014, David transitioned to TEC Equipment, where they held multiple roles. David started as a Senior Accountant and quickly became the Accounting Manager. During their tenure, they led a mass cleanup of the General Ledger and established standard reconciliation practices. David also worked as an Interim Credit Manager, leading the credit team through a period of turnover and implementing new processes for bad debt management. Lastly, they served as an Accounting Project Manager, overseeing various projects.

David then pursued a Ph.D. in Accounting at the University of Arizona - Eller College of Management. As a Ph.D. student and Research Assistant, they studied archival research methods, data analysis, and econometrics. David also taught introductory accounting.

After completing their Ph.D., David joined Eclipse Cash Systems LLC as a Controller. Their responsibilities included building an accounting team from scratch and leading a complete reboot of the company's accounting processes. David facilitated financial due diligence during Eclipse's acquisition by Payment Alliance International.

David then became the Director of Phoenix at Payment Alliance International in 2019. In this role, they managed operations and strategic initiatives.

In 2020, David joined PrePass as the Director of Operational Accounting and Finance Transformation. Here, they played a vital role in PrePass's Finance Transformation function, automating workflows and saving over $500k per year in consulting and labor costs. David also led ESG reporting, improving the score from 31/100 to 90/100 in two years and earning GRESB's five-star distinction. David oversaw payroll for around 300 employees and implemented various changes in benefit programs.

Currently, David is working as the Corporate Controller at RK Logistics Group since 2023.
