Maurizio Savina

Maurizio Savina has a strong background in natural catastrophe modeling and research. Maurizio held various roles at RMS, including Director of Model Product Management, where they focused on NatCAT model development, hydrology, eco-hydrology, and data analysis. Maurizio later moved on to SCOR as the Head of Cat R&D, overseeing catastrophe model R&D. Prior to that, Maurizio worked at ETH Zurich and DHI in research roles, and completed a master internship at the U.S. Geological Survey. Currently, Maurizio serves as the Vice President of Product Management at RMS.

Maurizio Savina completed a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering at Politecnico di Torino from 2001 to 2006. Maurizio then obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Environmental Engineering from ETH Zurich from 2008 to 2011. Additionally, Maurizio received various certifications including a Chartered Engineer certification in 2007.
