SVP, Chief Marketing Officer at Robert Half

Christopher C. Nelson is currently the SVP, Chief Marketing Officer at Robert Half. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of Digital Marketing at VMware from November 2016 to October 2021. In this role, they were responsible for the company’s corporate digital marketing center of excellence (COE) and digital marketing transformation initiatives. This included the management of digital content journeys and search engine optimization for across 36 country sites; demand generation programs across Social, Web, Display, and Paid Search; Social Media and Communities program development; Hands On Lab (HOL) and Evaluations trials marketing programs; Digital Production and Operations; and Globalization services. The Digital COE team was co-located in Palo Alto, CA and Bangalore, India.

Before their time at VMware, Christopher C. Nelson was with Wells Fargo from October 2007 to November 2016 as the Senior Vice President of Digital Sales & Marketing. In this role, they were responsible for the bank’s online sales and service goals as well as developing and executing integrated marketing plans that drove customer acquisition and retention for Wells Fargo’s 16 million online customers. Christopher also oversaw the development of new customer-facing features and capabilities on as well as managing a $200 million annual online advertising budget.

Christopher C. Nelson reports to Keith Waddell, Vice Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer. Christopher C. Nelson works with Kirsten Martin - VP Senior Account Manager, The Creative Group, Paul F. Gentzkow - President & CEO, Staffing Services, and Robert W. Glass - EVP Corporate Development.
