Durga Sreenivasan

Durga Sreenivasan currently serves as an Environmental Justice Fellow at the Mayor's Office of Climate and Environmental Justice, where contributions include assisting with the city's first environmental justice study, preparing presentations for global networks, and drafting a comprehensive climate equity report. Concurrently, Durga is a Research Assistant at Duke University, focusing on philanthropy's impact on economic opportunity and developing culturally responsive curricula. Involvement in leadership programs includes being a Robertson Scholar, where access to advanced academic offerings and community initiatives is provided. Prior experience includes roles as a Climate Strategist for the Democratic National Committee's youth branch, Climate Resilience researcher for Duke's Bass Connections, and a teacher at Shanti Bhavan, as well as co-leading global strategies for South-North Scholars and significant advocacy work in diversity and educational reforms. Durga is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Sustainable Development Studies at Duke University.
